Counties is a long established club catering to the off-road racers of Auckland, and the country, with regular race meetings every second Sunday. Larger events such as an annual Truck Champs meeting are also held throughout the year.
The track is a re-designable type on a fast draining red-dirt type surface. The local track crew change track layouts on a regular basis, with the added interest of a layout being run in both clockwise and anti-clockwise directions (at separate meetings of course!) before it is changed.
So if you're into a bit of bumping, jumping action, come on out and have a go in the dirt !!
Directions: Take the Bombay/Pukekohe East turnoff from SH1 and if travelling from the north, turn right at end of the off-ramp. If travelling from the south, turn left. You should go past the BP service station. Stay on that road (Mill Rd which joins Pukekohe East Rd). After a time you should pass a motor lodge on your right then start climbing a hill. On the other side of the hill, turn down Station Road on the left. If you get to the Pukekohe East Road t-junction on the other side of the hill, you have gone too far. Drive down Station Road and the track is situated at the end of the gravelled area on the left, opposite a rail over bridge.
