RC Speedway Nelson

Introduction...

Nelson Rc Speedway was officially formed in 2010 by a bunch of school kids and has come from small beginnings where racing was either done in a carpark with a rope wall/infield or with pallets which had a building column in the middle, to now have one of the biggest purpose built RC Speedway Tracks in the country

The club is supported by Donaldson Civil a local Civil Contracting company in Nelson who graciously allow us to use their facilities. Being an operational workshop this helps to provide some unique racing with two slightly differing grip levels at either corner of the track which will challenge any racer

Racing is generally held once a month and there is a mix of General Club Days, Local Points Events and National Championships

Nelson Rc Speedway has a strong membership base and still has a number of its year one members racing today. We pride ourselves on having a family based atmosphere and we are all happy to assist with new members coming into the club
