This is the timetable we intend to follow. Should unforseen circumstances out of our control require a change, we will do this to ensure we can complete the event. Should the event be shortened or need to be shortened, we will use Race Directors discretionry rules as passed at this years AGM to attempt to run all A finals over lower finals to confirm a result.
If a total washout occurs, we reserve the right to use Monday April 5 as the option day. We will advise this the week of the event, but again our preference is to NOT use this option.
Welcome to Raukawa International Raceway, - the best International RC track in Ashhurst. We pride ourselves on making sure you and your team have a great day racing. With our workshop and store on site, we will do our very best to ensure that once you start racing, you will be able to finish your day with us.
Entries will open at the time of publication of these regulations.
Entering the event is deemed a contract between you the competitor and us the organiser. As such we have done the best we can to meet the expectations of the NZRCA and you the competitor and that we will run the event unless conditions of force majure occur. As such we will not be offering refunds. Should you wish to apply for a refund, we will only accept a formal withdraw via email at least 3 days prior to the event for this to occur.
Once you enter the event, please make payment to the bank account listed, with details within 3 days so we can track this.
Entries will not be accepted after the closing date.
This the NZRCA National event and all classes available to run are offered. As per NZRCA Rule G1.7, a minimum of 5 entries is required for a class to run. Any class with less than 5 entries will be removed from the event schedule.
We are also offering 2 special classes on the Friday and Saturday of this event. On Friday we are offering a Pre96 2WD Stock Pre96 (27T 540 Silver can motors only) and on Saturday 4WD Stock Pre96 (27T 540 Silver can motors only). We are limiting these classes to a maximum of 20 cars each day, 3 rounds using RIR race format, as Vintage cars form a large part of the DNA of this club and we want to include them in the most important meeting we hold this year. It also gives our race officals the opportunity to compete, as this is an unofficial class.
We have applied and successfully had approved by the NZRCA Executive committee 2 control tires types for buggy classes. (Rule G2.2) These are tested and used here at RIR and we have found that different cars respond differently so have applied for this rule change for this event. We have also had a request for SCT Tire approved inline with the intent of Rule 17.5. As this track evolves it changes texture which makes the listed tires work at different times.
All tires must use the insert supplied with the tire.
2WD Buggy - Rear Control Tire - Front Tire is free
4WD Buggy - Full Control Tire - You may have any combination of 4WD control tire fitted on your car during the event.

The track will be available on the Monday and Tuesday prior to the event, Wednesday the track will be closed and then Thursday will be the controlled practise for the event.
2 rounds of qualifying will start on Friday afternoon and a further 2 will occur on Saturday.
All Finals will start on Saturday and A Final classes will get a 2 minute "Scrub Session" on Sunday morning after the opening ceremoney.

This is a NZRCA Sanctoned event and these are the rules that govern this event.
The Vintage Demonstration classes are not running for any title. These are 2WD Friday, 4WD Sunday and limited to no more than 4 rounds. We will have all details of this at www.nzrca110.nz starting February 16th 2021
Scruitineering will be as pre NZRCA requirements. Scales, sizing boxes, and the event volt meter will be available from Thursday for you to self test.
Scruitineering will occur prior to each offical qualifying and final.
We will be setting up a "Parc Ferme" where you will enter prior to your race, and once the car is checked in, it must stay there until the start of your race. Should you need to leave, you must recheck your car, prior to starting. This will become self explanitory as the event proceeds.
Prizegiving will occur once the last final has occured and the time for protest has passed. This is expected to be 15-20 minutes after the last final.
We will close the track for this time period incase of any protests to maintain the track "as raced".
The track will reopen after the prizegiving.
We use AMB 4.3.
This allows older AMB and MRT Transponders to be read.
Marshalling is mandatory for all drivers.
You must marshall the race following the race you have just completed.
If you are unable to marshall you must provide a replacement marshall of similar or better performance of your own. It is your responsibilty to do this.
Marshall points will be numbered and you will marshall the point in which you started the heat just raced.
We have a large grass pit area besides the track. We encourage you to bring ezups and set these up in the grass area. This will be marked out.
We will not be supplying any tables, or chairs please supply your own. For those working out of a trailer, please let us know with a size and we will allocate you a area in the pits for this. We are not allowing any motor vehicle movement in the pits and will have personall on site to help you ferry your gear from the carpark to the track.
We will have food on site for the event on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. We are currently arranging food options for Thursday.
Ashhurst village is 4km away and Palmerston North 8km away.
There is plenty of accomodation options in Palmerston North. We are a events city and Easter is a busy time, we recommend book early to ensure you have a bed.
We can allow Motor homes and caravans on site that are self contained. We will have toilets on site, but no showers.
You may hook into the track power during the evening after racing, but will need to unplug during the day to ensure that everyone is catered for.
As this is a long weekend, it is our intention to have the meeting completed by mid afternoon Sunday so travellers can leave at a friendly time. Should the weather really pack it in, we will leave Monday as the option day, but this will only be to determine A Finals, however this is a very last resort option.
We have no wet weather venue available.
None
Event will only be cancelled in the case of "force majure" and only with the approval of the NZRCA.
Should we encounter a further COVID issue we will enter into negoitions with the NZRCA to postpone to a future date.
