MRC Inaugural Wairarapa Champs

Covid is still around us peeps. If you are feeling unwell, please stay at home. For those who are feeling mint, take care, wash your hands and use best hygene practises.

Easy to find approximately 6 minutes from the Southern end of Masterton past the aerodrome. 

Google maps will bring you right in!!!

Onsite parking is tight. If you can please advise the organiser if you have a trailer or caravan so we can make room for you to fit in.

Long Trailers/Caravans will not fit into the carpark and there is not space on site for these unfortunately. There is a good camp ground in Masterton which has affordable rates for sites.

Spectators free to watch. It is very tight parking so please be mindful when you arrive to not block anyone.

SATURDAY 6th May

Track will be open from 10am-2pm for open practice. 

SUNDAY - RACE DAY. 

Gates open at 7am

Track open for practise from 7 to 8 am

Race 1 starts at 0845

All rounds on Sunday. Due to compacted event now only 3 rounds.

The weather has now impacted our 2 day event and we are going to fit the event into Sunday only. Event will now be only 3 rounds. Details of this are elsewhere in this form. 

The Inaugural Wairarapa Champs has been a long time coming. This small but enthusiastic bunch of rc racers are stoked to invite you all to come and share our love of rc at the first Wairarapa champs. 

As the sister club to RIR, we are using the format for the Manawatu Champs for this meeting.

Round 1 is marble draw grids

Round 2 is reverse finish order of Round 1 

Round 3 Points. Ranked highest to lowest.

All 3 rounds count to final result. 

AMB 4.4 is used so all AMB, MRT, transponders work.

As per entry list. We love vintage cars, so if you have them, get them brushed off and get them here as this is a great vintage old school rc track. 

Really want a full field of Grasshoppers and Hornets and the like so do make a effort with these special cars.

None, Goosebumps or Sprinters are the recommendations.

All AMB and MRT transponders work. 

If you dont have a transponder we can manually time you if you can provide us a caller. 

You must marshall the race after yours. If you don't you put the meeting in jeopardy of running late. 

If you are back to back you should endevour to do 2 races as someone has helped you get to this point.

Bring all your own gear please. 

We are new small club and are building our gear up slowly. 

We have power on site, so bring a lead and work togther to make sure it goes around the pits for everyone to use. 

It is a grass paddock area, do bring pegs for the EZups as the wind can get up. 

We will have a BBQ on site selling sausages. Also some muffins and bickies. Town is not far away and we may be able to stop for a short break after rounds 1 and 3 daily.

None on site, but there are a number of good accomodation options in Masterton.

We dont do rain, after all this is Southern Southern Hawkes Bay. Actually we are now, so its going to be a 1 day deal!!
