Parking
Parking is available in the paddocks to the left of the venue as you drive in. There is an unloading area next to the entrance, please do not park there. Please do not park on the road front either.
Spectators
Spectators are more than welcome to come view the racing. Please remember to wear covered in footwear, CROCS and CROC type of footwear are not classed as COVERED IN footwear. It is a saftey requirement from both our club and national rules.

Event Information
Venue: Taranaki RC Speedway ‘The Colloseum’ 37 Hunt Road Stratford. Please respect the 50kmph speed limit on Hunt Road and keep stereos to a minimum, we rely on the good will of our neighbours, especially for these big meetings.
Drivers: Maximum of Five drivers per team (Four cars on track per race). Drivers must sign up using their registered race numbers.
Format:
Qualifying format will depend on the number of entries and races will be held over 15 laps.
Finals format will be a top 4 or 8 (entries dependent) knock-out and a 2nd Tier competition for those finish outside the top 8.
Finals will be held over 20 laps.
Points will be awarded as follows:
1st 100
2nd 40
3rd 25
4th 20
5th 10
Pole: Decided by coin toss before race, winner of toss decides team on pole, position on track and position on drivers stand as per the 2025 NZRCS Rulebook, section 12.6 (teams rules)
Club Teams: Each club is able to enter as many teams as they wish.
Team Song: Please provide us with a Team song that will be played at the end of your race if you are the winning team. Your teams song may be played from a selected point in the song. To do this please add how far in the song you would like to start from.

Entry Details
Entries: are $160 per team and are to be paid to the Taranaki Radio Control Speedway Club account before close of entries.
No entries fees will be accepted on the day, or after close of entries.
Entries close Sunday the 7th of September at 11.59pm.
Feel free to edit your teams information up until that point, any required alterations after that will need to be pm'd to Luca Ward once entries shut.

The track will be open on Friday the 19th of september for practice (Time will be confirmed closer to the time)

Scruitineering
Scrutineering will be held at the start of each day. Each team will be called up one by one until all are done.
Prize Giving
Prize giving will be held after the meeting at the track.
Lap Timing
AMB mylaps with 4.3 firmware (you must provide your own personal transponder number if you are running one) Please ensure you enter your transponder numbers accurately while registering. Older big Square red AMB transponders will work on our system along with the smaller more common mylaps 2 wire and 3 wire transponders. Black MRT transponders will also work along with handout transponders.
If it works anywhere else on a speedway track in NZ it should work here but if you have any doubt on whether your transponder will work at Taranaki please pm Luca Ward
Marshalling
TBC will be the race director for this meeting.
Red light buttons will be controlled by only TBC
Any protests are to be put forward to the race director within 10 minutes from end of protested race in writing, with $20 cash for protest fee.
Pits
Chargers: if you are using a lipo charger that has wireless capabilities, please ensure that the wireless features are disabled as otherwise this produces electrical noise which effects the lapcounting.
Pits: The Taranaki Radio Control Stockcar Club will provide allocated pit areas for each team including benches / tables.
Power: There is power at the venue at each table and the club will provide multiboxes on all tables for all teams – if you wish to split power up from there please bring an additional multibox.
However, please minimise the amount of extension cords/multi-boxes set up as this produces electrical noise which affects lapcounting.
Food
The club food shop will be open across the weekend with a variety of hot and cold food and drinks available for purchase.
