Hello everyone,
It’s been a while since I have dropped you all a line, and a lot has happened!
On the personal front, my family has welcomed our first grandchild. Oliver James arrived at 7:00 AM on March 26, 2026. Mother, baby, and father are all doing well and adjusting to this big change in their lives. I cannot wait to get a car and controller in his hands and have him cutting some laps at the track soon!
The NZRCA 1/10 EP Off-Road Dirt Nationals have concluded, and all the coverage can be found [here].
The indoor season is now well underway. The inaugural 1/10 EP Off-Road Carpet/Astro Nationals are set for August 2026, hosted by the Hamilton RC Car Club. The event has already attracted a fair number of international entries—well done to the HRCCC Committee for the hard work.
Christchurch Indoor: Their regular King’s Birthday weekend event is approaching. Check the entries on the NZRCA website; it looks like it will be a well-run, epic event if you can make the trip.
Note: The team has also secured the 2027 NZRCA 1/10 EP Off-Road Carpet/Astro Nationals for the same weekend at a larger stadium. Great job getting in early!
Tauranga Club: Their traditional Indoor Championship is coming up just a fortnight later.
AIRCCC Astro Masters: The team has been going flat out behind the scenes to raise the bar for 2026.

The Auckland Radio Control Car Club has reactivated! Their opening meeting is on May 17th. Well done to Stu, Johnathan, and the rest of the team for building this epic facility in record time.
